Ika Nabila Abdul Rahim’s rendition of Malu Tapi Mahu failed to impress the judges.
PETALING JAYA: Ika Nabila Abdul Rahim, better known as Ika, was eliminated from Astro Ria’s reality TV show Akademi Fantasia at the Civic Centre last night.
The 19-year-old lass from Penang was the second student to leave the show after the students’ weekly concert held at Civic Centre here last night.
Her performance of Malu Tapi Mahu once popularised by Malaysian Idol’s Dina failed to impress the judges.
She garnered the least number of short messaging system or SMS percentage of votes from the viewers.
The judges were permanent critic Ning Baizura, Aidit Alfian and Adlin Aman Ramlie.
The show was also attended by the academy’s principal Ramli MS, the trainers including Siti Hajar Ismail, Syafizawati Sharif, Linda Jasmine, Jasmi Rejab, Fatimah Abu Bakar and Fauziah Nawi.
There are 12 contestants left in the show, whic is now in its sixth season.
