Catch the delayed telecast of MotoGP in Portugal (RTM1, tomorrow, 12.30am)

SPORTS fans should take note of “live” coverages that they can catch over the tube this weekend. The Asian Badminton Championship 2008 comes on over RTM1 with the semi-finals tomorrow and the finals on Sunday. Both the events will commence at 2pm. The delayed telecast of MotoGP in Portugal also airs over RTM1 tomorrow (12.30am).

Meanwhile, the finale of the fourth season of Nescafe Kickstart (Sunday, TV3, 11am) sees four finalists vying for RM150,000 prize money. Vote for your favourite contestant as SMS votes do count alongside jury votes.

Project Superstar Malaysia will hold the finals for the male and female contestants respectively. Catch the finale (female) tomorrow (8TV, 8.30pm), the finale (male) on Sunday (8TV, 8.30pm), and the results show, also on Sunday (8TV, 10pm). The chosen male and female contestants will square-off in the “battle of the sexes” grand final on May 3.

A new Filipino serial drama Boys Next Door debuts on Sunday (8TV, 10.30pm). Also, catch The Making Of… Street Kings over 8TV on Sunday (11.30am). Street Kings is a crime thriller starring Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker.

TOMORROW

Bollygood Time On 2 (RTM2, 12.30pm) – Ek Ajnabee

An embittered man hired to protect a little girl faces more calamity when the girl is kidnapped. However, he finds that a shocking conspiracy is behind the kidnapping. Staring Amitabh Bachchan, Rucha Vaidya and Arjun Rampal.

TV3 Cinema (TV3, 12.30am) – The Rocketeer

A young pilot stumbles upon a top secret rocket-pack and with the help of his mechanic, he attempts to save his girl in this pulp comic flick set in Hollywood of the ’30s. Starring Bill Campbell, Jennifer Connely and Alan Arkin.

Hong Retro (ntv7, 3pm) – Vengeance Is A Golden Blade

A man named Li owns the coveted ‘Flying dragon’ blade, and Li’s wife and her lover steal it. Starring Chin Ping and Yueh Hua.

Chinese Movie (8TV, 9.30pm) – Moving Target

As fate has it, two friends, Kit and Fit, who enrolled in a police training school find that fate put them on different paths. While both of them have to work with Kit’s father against some criminals, Fit is forced into the criminals’ camp, while Kit’s girlfriend ends up falling for Fit. Starring Nicholas Tse, Edison Chen, Gillian Chung and Simon Yam.

SUNDAY

Midnight Movie (RTM1, 11.30pm) – No Way Out

A navy officer starts a liaison with a woman, little knowing that she is his boss’ mistress. And he becomes a suspect when the mistress is found dead. Starring Kevin Costner, Gene Hackman and Sean Young.

Sunday Day Time Special (RTM2, 3pm) – I Spy

When a high tech fighter plane is stolen, the U.S. government believes that an arms dealer has it and plans to sell it. So they send a well-trained but inexperienced agent to retrieve it, with hilarious results. Starring Eddie Murphy, Owen Wilson and Famke Janssen.

Festival (ntv7, 10.45pm)- Ilusi Cinta

A young man from a privileged family finds life very dull – all because of his over-protective mother who makes every of his life’s decision for him. Starring Zaidi Omar and Kaza Saidi.

Sinema (TV9, 10pm) – Kasih Farra

Saddened after the death of his mother, a man decides to move to another country to rebuild his life. In the process, he also leaves his girlfriend behind. Years later, he comes back with his fiancee, but bumps into his old flame. Starring Shahruddin Thamby, Rosnah Johari and Noreen Hadzim.
